Draft Day 5K
The Draft Day 5K will be run on Saturday, May 1st at 10:00 am.
Q: How early should I arrive?
A: Draft Day 5K - Arrive by 9:00am as we will start promptly at 10:00am. Parking details will be in the Final Runner Instructions.
A: Marathon / Half Marathon / Team Relay plan is still being developed to manage our COVID-19 requirements to run in-person. Details will be published in February.
Q: Where do I park?
A: Draft Day 5K participants will park in Downtown Canton. We will assign parking locations for you in the Final Runner Instructions. Sunday Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay parking is being organized and the details will be in the Final Runner Instructions.
Q: Can I pick up my packet on race morning?
A: You can pick up your packets for the 5K ONLY on Saturday from 7:30a to 9:45a. You can pick up your packets for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay on Friday from 4pm to 8pm, and Saturday from 9a to 6p at the Race Expo. You can also have a friend pick up your packet for you at the expo.
Q: Where can my family watch the race?
A: We have an open course with numerous places to see your runner. A spectator guide will be made available prior to race weekend.
Q: Can I drop off my runner?
A: Yes, but only in the designated drop off points. Please take a look at the Start/Finish map for the most convenient location for you.
Q: Where are the Porta-Potties?
A: We will have over 200 Porta-Potties located at the Start / Finish area. Additionally there will be Porta-Potties along the race course just after each water station.
Q: Are there Pacers?
A: Yes! We will have pace leaders at various pace per mile times. Details to follow.
Q: Do you have runner notification services?
A: Yes. Updates will be sent out as runners pass each relay exchange zone.
Q: Are wheelchair / push rim / hand cycle racers allowed?
A: We will allow wheelchair and push rim athletes in 2021. We CANNOT accommodate hand cycles due to their speed and our course configuration. We have a strict course opening and course closing schedule that we must adhere to.
Q: What is the Awards structure?
A: Marathon and Half Marathon, awards will be presented in the following categories: Top 5 Men and Women Overall, Top Male and Female Master (40+), Top Male and Female Grand Master (50+), Top Male and Female Senior (60+), Top 3 Men and Women in Age Groups 1-14 (5K Only), 15-19 (5K Only), 16-19 (Half Only), 18-19 (Marathon Only), 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and up.
Team Relay Awards: Top 3 teams in the following divisions - Men Open, Women Open, Coed Open, Men Masters, Women Masters, Coed Masters.
Q: Is there Prize Money available?
A: Yes. Please visit the Results Page for the Prize Money structure.
Q: Is your course a Boston Marathon Qualifier?
A: YES! We submit our results to the B.A.A. for them to use to validate your time.
Q: Do you have Energy Gel stations?
A: Yes. There will be a GU Energy Gel Station at mile 8.2 and mile 18.2. The flavors will be Vanilla Bean and Tri Berry.
Q: What is the minimum age to run?
A: You must be 16 years of age or older to participate in the Marathon. The minimum age for the Half Marathon is 14 years of age. The minimum age for the Team Relay is 12.
Q: Will there be finisher medals?
A: Yes! Each Marathoner, Half Marathoner, and Team Relay will receive a custom RING finisher medal. Finishers in the Draft Day 5K will receive a newly designed medal which will be unveiled in December of 2020
Q: Who gets those Finisher Blankets?
A: All Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay runners receive a Fleece Finisher Blanket after they run.
